ATHENS, GA. October 5-21, 2023. This month, community members are invited to visit the Books for Keeps Book Warehouse to get free books to share with their community, helping to further expand book access and literacy for all.
Books for Keeps will host its 4th Annual Community Book Fair during the first three weekends in October (Oct. 5-7, 13-15, 19-21) at its Book Warehouse at 420 Athena Drive in Athens, GA. All guest are invited to take up to 100 free books per day. Books provided at the event are new and gently-used titles donated by the community throughout the year and include selections for children, adults, educators, and more. Last year’s event gave away 57,423 books to 2,100 visitors from 60 counties and seven states.
This event is free to the public, made possible by donations from community members and from local business sponsors including: Barron’s Rental Center, Primrose School, Peach State Federal Credit Union, Leon Farmer Company, Janssen Pharmaceuticals, Bulldawg Illustrated, Hughes Subaru of Athens, The Graduate Athens, Athens Luncheon Optimist Club, Northside Diagnostic, Athens Housing Authority, North Georgia Living Magazine, Classic City Orthodontics, Athens Janitor Supply Company, Robins Financial Credit Union, JWR Jewlers, Synovus, Mark Taylor Media, Massey Law, Burton + Burton, Heyward Allen of Athens, Denise Ricks of Edward Jones, Pediatric Partners, C.
